A Rotakids Club is a properly formulated school club that works in partnership with its host Rotary Club (Borderland Rotary) to undertake an annual programme of events, fundraisers and to have FUN!
The Rotakids pledge says it all:
“As a Rotakid, I endeavour to be fair to all, serve my community and to show respect to others”.
To make a difference to: Our School, Our Community, Our World
Reent Projects
Meadows School Rotakids are supporting Purple-4-Polio to eradicate Polio. Their Borderland Bookstall on 6th May raised £103. With a £47 donation from Borderland Rotary this increased to £150.
Bryn Offa Rotakids raised £167.50 for a project in Ethiopia with a Borderland Bookstall, and Borderland Rotary donated to make this up to £200.
Rotakids Schools were offered potted tree whips to look after and plant out as a community project.
Oswestry School filled and delivered 50 boxes to Hope Church, for distribution to children through the “Operation Christmas child” organisation. They are hoping to repeat this again next year. A big thank you to teacher Paul Bentley, who organised this with the students.

Gobowen Primary School RotaKids Club held a fund-raising event for ‘Purple-4-Polio’ to help eradicate Polio worldwide. The whole school paid to wear purple for the day instead of school uniform.
