The chairmen of the different committees outlined their plans for the year. These plans will show on the What We Do pages from 1st July 2022.

ADG Caroline then made the following comments on behalf of District: -

  1. Blaize is a very traditional type of Rotary Club in which it is obvious fellowship is very important.
  2. The club probably has the most diverse range of projects of all the clubs that Caroline had currently visited for which she gave thanks on behalf of Rotary.
  3. The International chairman had mentioned an intention to give some support to a Ukrainian family in the Bradford area if a suitable candidate could be found. Caroline said this tied in well with a Disaster Relief Grant that the District had received which was being distributed amongst all the clubs meaning each would receive nearly £200. This money to be spent by each club in their local area supporting Ukrainian refugees.
  4. She gave thanks to David Burrows for pushing for the Bradford Group to support the Bradford City of Culture bid which she had done. Now the bid weas successful the challenge for us it to answer the question "What can Rotary do?". She asked that we think AUDACIOUS.
  5. Caroline informed us that she has resigned from Bradford Bronte to set up a new Passport Club with a few other members of District 1040. The club has been chartered and will operate from the new Rotary year as a District wide club without any traditions. Initially meetings will be on Zoom or similar but it is hoped that small sub groups will meet physically for a drink in a cafe or pub.
