Day 2 on Clitheroe Market

October 2nd saw our second day with a stall on Clitheroe Market, would anyone turn up?

The public supported Rotary once again in large numbers!

We had a constant stream of people from 8AM through to 3:30PM.

A big thanks to all who worked the stall and transferred goods to the caravan today, especially Roland and his trailer! Six car loads to the caravan, of tools and IT. Thirty bags of coats to the shop, plus at least 4 bin bags of blister pack, lots more specs and a few more sewing machines with more machines pledged by Blackburn College. The scary thing is, people were saying,  I'm just getting stuck into sorting stuff out!

Looks like we will be busy November 6th,  still need a few more volunteer to man the stall. Next week we start getting all the coats collected so far to the shop and a very large shipment of IT will leave the caravan and a depot in Blackburn.

A total of 30 hours was worked over the day, with Peter Spencer just happening to be around when the camera came out! Peter was very happy with the amount of coats already donated for Wrap Up East Lancashire even before we open the WUEL shop on Castle St. between October 18th - 30th.

Not forgetting the Rotary Charity Book Sale being held outside at the United reform Church, Moor Lane, Clitheroe, October 16th. We have a large stock of books to satisfy all tastes, paper backs, hard backs, sets of books, reference books, childrens books, a few DVD's.

Thanks to all that supported Rotary, we will be on the Market again November 6th and December 4th.
