New Year's Day Walk at Wellington College Crowthorne

An enjoyable walk around the lovely grounds of Wellington College, Crowthorne. Often known as the "bacon buttie" walk, refreshments are available including tea and coffee as well as bacon butties and vegetarian options.

Rotary’s New Year’s Day Walk at Wellington College, Crowthorne.


The Rotary Club of Crowthorne, Sandhurst and Bracknell invite you to enjoy a pleasant New Year’s Day walk following a designated route around the lovely grounds of Wellington College, Crowthorne.  The route is about 2 miles and takes around 40 minutes. The route is buggy accessible but can be wet in places depending on the weather; an alternative wheel chair route is available. Refreshments are available as well as a children's trail competition. The theme for this year’s children’s trail is “Superhero”.

 

The principal recipient of funds raised at this event will be the Alexander Devine Children's Hospice Service who provide specialist support to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, and their families, across Berkshire. Other Rotary charities may benefit.

 

¨              Your walk can commence any time between 10:30 and 14:00.

¨              Refreshments, from 10:45, include “bacon butties”, vegetarian option, tea, coffee and soft drinks.

¨              An all-weather wheel chair accessible route is available. Please check for a route suitable to you.

¨              The Children's Competition requires locating and identifying well known characters en-route.

¨              Though buggy accessible, it can be wet in places depending on the weather.

¨              Entrance fee, £5. Children 11 and under are free.

¨              Dogs on a lead are welcome.
