Clitheroe & Blackburn Charity Golf Day 2023

125 Golfers raise £7,000 for Charity.

On the 19th May, Clitheroe Golf Club was host to a Charity Golf Day organised by Rotarian Neil Dowds and his committee on behalf of the Rotary Clubs of Clitheroe and Blackburn. This traditional annual fundraiser was in aid of East Lancashire Hospice, MacMillan Cancer Care and the Charity Accounts of the two Rotary Clubs. It was very well supported by over 125 golfers, with extremely good support from the members of Clitheroe Golf Club and from further afield.

The day was a great success, the sun shone and there were many prizes on offer for winners of the Glf Competitions, Raffle and Auctions. It also raised almost £7,000 for charity. The two Rotary Clubs are very grateful for the support of the competitors, sponsors and prize donors and especially Clitheoe Golf Club for making its facilities available for the day.

The winning Team, lead by Paul Gavaghan, was from Raymond James Investment Services, Longridge. Their prize, a 4 ball voucher to play at Royal Lytham and St. Annes.

2nd place, Luna Investment Management and in 3rd place Greenacre Honda.

Congratulations to all and we hope to see you next time.
