Coffee Morning for RotaKids

Rotary Club of Birstall Luddites
Coffee Morning for RotaKids Funding.

On Saturday morning 6th April Birstall Luddites organised a Coffee Morning at the Birstall Community Centre to raise funds for RotaKids in Birstall and Batley.
Rotarian Pat Taylor, the
clubs leader in organising and managing the local schools RotaKids, organised the morning together with Edith.

Pat runs RotaKids - Park Road, Lydgate, Carlton Road and Bradford Academies , and Upper Batley High School Interact.

The coffee morning ran well on a sunny warm but windy Saturday morning, tea and coffee together with cakes and scones made for a successful social morning.
A raffle and book stall helped to raise £225 towards Pats funds for the local schools Rotakids. The RotaKids in turn raise money for local charities.
A Luddites kitchen rota with Edith, Brenda on stalls with John on the book stall all contributed to the successfull morning helping with Pat taking entrance monies. Also thanks to the ladies, Maggie, Mary, Carol and Edith for baking buns, scones and biscuits.
Thanks to Ian for organising the Community Centre and Jeremy for the posters.
