Rotary Club of Birstall Luddites 
RotaKids in Birstall 


The Charter of St Peters C of E  Primary School into RotaKids.
On 2nd March St Peters Church of England Primary Infants School held their induction into 
RotaKids and cellebrated their first Charter. 
They are the first school in Birstall to have the RotaKids status.  
Their name is Noscurare RotaKids St Peters School Birstall.   
Noscurare is Latin for "we care". 
In attendance for Rotary were DG Manoj Joshi and his wife Bhavna Inner 9 Ass Governor Mike Gill, Rotarian Pat Taylor who drives Rotakids in District 1040 with District Youth Leader Andrew Wilson, President Keith represented Birstall Luddites in the absence of John Keen with Rotarians Paricia and Peter Waite-Wright and Rotarian Jeff . 
The RotaKids to be inducted assembled in the school hall and were then joind by all school pupils for the school assembly. The school have their own song and this was sung by all pupils as they  entered. All overseen by Head teacher Leslie Even. 

Rotarian Pat Taylor introduced the visiting Rotarians and thanked the school for allowing Rotary RotaKids at the school 
and thanked the RotaKids for 100% attendance. 
All 17 pupils then said a part of Paul Harris' life story and all said the pledge to Rotary RoatKids.

Keith read a letter of introduction from Donna Wallbank the RIBI President.    
Keith presented the Headteacher with a school plaque and then all the RotaKids 
with a certificate and Manos gave each their RotaKids badges.
 Emily is their first RotaKids President.
Manoj congratulated the the pupils, the school and Birstall Luddites for the starting of RotaKids at the school. 
The assembly ended with the pupils singing their school song when leaving the Hall.

     Refreshments followed with cakes and drinks for the RotaKids and Rotarians
to celebrate their Charter.       

 RotaKids has already been up and running at the school since November 2019 under instruction from Batley Rotarian Pat Taylor. They have organised an Art competition, a toy raffle and raised £200 for
their Charity RockinR.
        
Big thanks to Rotarian Pat Taylor for setting up  RotaKids and running it from November also for the Charter cakes. Thanks to  Rotarian John Keen and President Keith for their work in Birstall Luddites RC taking over the running of Birstalls first RotaKids at St Peters C of E Infants School.

for her work with the school RotaKids.
