We shall be celebrating the 101st anniversary of our club's Charter, conferred on 28 September 1922
The catering at Cambridge Country Club near Bourn is provided by Cotto (Hans & Ruth Schweitzer) who formerly ran the restaurant at the Gonville Hotel. The food will be excellent!
Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) - resistance of germs, particularly bacteria, to antibiotics, threatens to return health care to the early 20th century in the next few decades unless solutions can be found. Antibiotic-resistant bacteria threaten the lives of millions through uncontrolled infections. They could also bring to an end orthopaedic surgery, leukaemia treatment and many other aspects of medical care
Professor Chris Dowson is one of this country's leading authorities on AMR and is Co-Director of WAMIK, Warwick University Antimicrobial Interdisciplinary Centre. He is a Trustee of Antibiotic Research UK, this year's President's charity, which exists to raise awareness of AMR and to raise funds for research into AMR prevention and novel antibiotic treatment

Past President John Martin uses his building skills to help the locals create a community centre for this deprived settlement in The Gambia, only a few miles from the luxurious tourist resorts on the coast
