On Monday 28 October 2024, 24 members with wives, partners, family and friends enjoyed a change from our usual Monday Meeting and spent a pleasant evening at The Indoor Bowls Club in Cliftonville.
The evening commenced with an excellent, cooked in house, fish and chip supper. Once fed and watered, possibly something a little stronger for some, we were divided into teams, to make the bowling a little more competitive, and expertly guided by bowling club members who gave freely of their time. Which team won is difficult to establish due to some dubious scoring, or was it just inexperience in use of the score machines? No matter, it was an evening enjoyed by one and all and we look forward to visiting again next year.
My thanks to Sam for making the original booking, finalising, and confirming numbers in my absence.
