Crocus in bloom

End Polio Now Crocus

Saturday 23 February 2019 was International Rotary Day so a few members of the club paid a visit to our crocus planting at the bottom of Mauricewood Road just before the A701. There they erected our temporary sign. We have planted two tranches of crocus at this spot (in 2016 and 2018) in order to highlight the need to continue the fight to defeat Polio across the World. A fight in which Rotary has played and continues to play a leading role.

In the first two photos the crocus are just starting to flower but in the last two photos taken only two days later on 25 February they reveal their beauty. What a marvellous show!
