The walk will start from the Black Horse Pub Chesham (where food and drinks may be purchased on completion of the walk).
The walk will be approximately 5 miles in length with some areas a little challenging, certainly not to be undertaken in sandals but stout shoes or walking boots are recommended. The walk should take about 2 ½ hours. Ice axes and pitons will not be required, but if you have them do bring them - it might make for a good photo.
We are expecting approximately 50 people wishing to take part and therefore start times can be staggered through the day. We hope each group will be led by someone who has completed the walk previously.
A donation to our charities of £15.00 will be payable at the start. However, each walker is free to raise additional funds via sponsorship for charitable causes close to their heart but we hope some would consider supporting the Dementia Care groups that the Rotary Club of Chesham are aware of including
· Chesham Dementia Cafe,
· Singing for the Brain,
· Chiltern Music Therapy,
· Silver Singers,
If this is of interest to you either as a walker or as a group involved with dementia support in Chesham, please email the Organiser - Peter Squire of the Rotary Club of Chesham at email@example.com or phone 01494 773653 - we would love to hear from you and make this a truly memorable day!
