Gary Bulmer and Karen Swan came and gave a humbling talk of Broxtowe youth club where they provide support for young people in difficult situations, young people who have little support, some of whom are no longer in main stream education with few role models in life.

They were presented with a cheque for £200 from the club with donations from the Christmas float. A further donation of £3000 was presented by Chris O'Brien on behalf of the Margaret Robertson trust fund.

They gave an example of a young lady who they have supported into becoming a youth leader even though she has her own learning difficulties. The young lady never thought she would find a job or a friend and with the youth club she has found both.

One of Gary's dreams is to take the young people off the estate for one day to Sherwood Pines, that dream is near to becoming a reality. We have also given the opportunity for two to attend RYLA in May in Buxton.
