Wine Tasting Evening - 2018

.

WINE TASTING EVENING

On Saturday  April 7th some 55 Rotarians, wives, and friends spent a very enjoyable evening at the Harrow Road Community Centre to taste a range of wines.

Our guide for the evening was Caroline Mackie, who is a qualified wine taster. She had chosen all of the wines, and also set a quiz with questions on the wines, and other topics, such as where is the nearest vineyard to Harrow Road, and how long was the original  bridge at Avignon.  Sadly, few guests scored highly!

Caroline ran a very entertaining and humorous evening, and wasintroduced by John Foxon, who organised the event. His connection with Caroline was made clear when he revealed that she looks after his garden! A talented lady indeed.
