Wigan Charter Night 2016

Guest Speaker Jonathan Jackson, Chief Executive of Wigan Athletic
President Keith will be pleased if as many of us as possible will join him in celebrating 92 years of the Rotary Club of Wigan, on our Charter Night. The date is Thursday 10th March 2016. The venue is Haigh Hall, Wigan WN2 1PE. The Hall can be approached from either Red Rock Lane or Haigh Road.
The evening will start at 7.00 p.m. for a pre-dinner reception including photographs and the last toast should be 11.00 p.m. Our speaker is Jonathan Jackson, Chief Executive of Wigan Athletic Football Club. The preferred dress code is Dinner Jacket. The cost has been maintained again at £30 per person.
The menu will be Cream of Leek and Potato Soup finished with chives and crème fraiche and served with a warm bread roll and butter; Roasted loin of cod with a creamed parsley sauce, Slow Roast Loin of Pork served with a rich calvados jus and presented on crushed thyme and onion potatoes with locally sourced potato and vegetables or Portobello Mushrooms stuffed with Feta, Sun Dried Tomatoes and Pine Nuts served with roast onion Boulanger, fine beans red and green pesto; Sticky Toffee Pudding with hot fudge sauce; Tea or Coffee served with Haigh Hall Chocolate Mints. Cheese and biscuits can be an alternative to the pudding at a cost of £2 extra or as an additional course at a cost of £4.25 extra. If you would like to discuss any change to the menu, please speak to me when you book.
