WIGAN ROTARY HELPING TO KEEP GROUPS SAFE AND MEETING AGAIN
With lockdown rules eased some community groups have started thinking about restarting their meetings after several months of being unable to see friends and colleagues. However, there is concern regarding the number of members who will be willing to return without reassurance regarding their safety and the cost of providing it which will involve purchasing items such as hand sanitiser, anti- bacterial wipes etc.
Wigan Rotary Club has therefore launched a ‘Dragons Den’ style event for groups looking for a donation of items such as those mentioned above. Local groups based in postcode areas WN1, WN3, WN5, WN6 are invited to submit their request. Following initial consideration those groups selected will receive a donation of items.
Wigan Rotary Club President Rosemary Charles said ‘ In these difficult times when we are all having to tighten our belts, I am sure there are local groups in the Wigan area who could really use a donation of items such as those mentioned above to help them.’
Bids for items up to a value of £100 will be considered
The closing date for entries is 15th August
